MY KIND OF LOVE 21 Something Is Not Righ

Miray sat down on a chair which the old woman had given her outside of the hat. The old woman seemed to be very curious of her and asked a lot of questions but Miray was not in the mood and gave her short responses. An hour later a black Audi came in front of the small hat. A tall man wearing a white shirt stepped down of the car and directly went to where Miray was sitting. He had a worried look on his face as he saw how worn out Miray had been sitting on the chair, 'what happened?', he kept that question to himself as he squatted down and embraced her.

"Terrence, how did you know I am here?" A feeling of relief came from her voice.

Terrence was still hugging her and wished he stayed like that forever, "... Err... I was with Zain the time you called him, so I told him we should come together to get you.." He slowly pulled back and looked into her eyes.

"Thank you,... I am exhausted can we go now?" Miray wanted to avoid being questioned on how she got there, so she hastily grabbed her back and wanted to leave as soon as possible. But before she could stand, Terrence lifted her in his arms and started to go in the direction of the car. She wanted to protest but she was too exhausted after walking and waiting such a long time.

The old woman was watching the scene the whole time, "...err, make sure you come and visit me next time.." she called out behind them while looking at the tall and handsome man who was carrying Miray.

Zain stepped down of the car when he saw Terrence going to the side of the car. He rushed to the other side and open the door for them. After letting her in, Terrence turned back to the old woman and removed some banknotes from his wallet.

"Grandma, buy yourself something, thank you very much for looking after her.."

"It's not a problem... Hehehe she is just like my daughter, why not?.. Hehehe.." She took the money and grabbed Terrence's hand while smiling. He politely patted her back while withdrawing his hand and turned around to Zain whose eyes were filled with laughter at that moment.

"You should drive, I will sit with her for now.." he gave him the car keys and entered the back sit of the car where Miray was.

The car started off and in the backseat, Terrence was holding Miray close to him. He noticed how her shoes had no heel on and he started to get more worried. Miray was asleep at that moment and he was watching her. Zain observed them as he was driving and a smile came across his face, ' finally' he said to himself.

Two hours later they arrived to Miray's house. Miray was still asleep and Terrence wanted to carry her out of the car without waking her up. With the movements, Miray opened her eyes and turned to Terrence who was trying to get her out of the car.

"...mmh... It's okay, I can get down by myself... " Miray said it slowly while yawning. She stepped out of the car and smiled to Terrence, " Thank you.."

"It's nothing.... Can I come in?" He said it while caressing her hair.

Zain who was already out of the car, knew what his sister would say and interrupted them. " it's okay, you have already done enough... Allow me to take care of my sister too... This is the only time I will act older to her." He grabbed Miray and pulled her close, trying to led her to the house. 

Terrence put both of his hands in his pocket as he watched Zain walk with Miray towards the house. Moments later he got into the car and drove off.

"What was that all about?" Miray asked her brother after the black Audi disappeared.

"I knew you were going to say no. And that would have been really bad to him." Replied Zain while slowly shaking his head.

Miray stopped and turned to her brother, " you really know me better that anyone... How annoying.." a smile was seen on her face.

"I am not going to let you destroy this relationship...But why do you have your lights on?" He observed the lights that were shining in her house.

"Ooh, maybe I forgot to switch them off when I left this morning..." Miray replied as she took the keys from her bag.

After they opened the door, a woman started to scream with anger from inside the house, "yaaaa!!!! I have been calling you all day!!! Why is your phone not going through!!!"

Miray was startled, "You scared me to death!.. what time did you get here?"

Hazel turned her gaze from Miray to Zain, "Brother!!!!... I have missed you, how have you been?.." She rushed towards him and started to play with his cheeks. Growing up, Zain had been like her little brother too and she loved him dearly just like the way Miray did.

"Stop it, I am not a child anymore.." resisted Zain while trying to pull away from her.

"That what you always say, you big baby.." giggled Hazel enjoying the moment. 

Miray just pa.s.sed by them and went to the kitchen to drink some water. That was when Hazel noticed her limping. "What happened?" she turned and whispered to Zain who was ma.s.saging his cheeks.

"I don't know, she just called me to pick her up at some rural place she was at." Replied Zain with a confused expression on his face.

They followed Miray to the kitchen. Hazel gave her a fixed look trying to understand what was happening. Miray noticed her curious look so she decided to pretend to be sick, to escape from the questions, "Hazel I am not feeling okay now, I need to rest..." She paused touching her head while looking at Hazel to see if she was buying her lie.

"Zain, why don't you stay over tonight and keep Hazel company for now..." Miray called out to Zain as she placed down the gla.s.s of water in her hands. After that she quickly rushed out of the kitchen and went to her bedroom.

Hazel and Zain were left in the kitchen silent with so many questions going through their mind. They knew Miray was not the kind to keep secrets from them. She had always been a straightforward person who was like an idol to them but her actions today had been different.

"something is going on.." Zain stated while still look in the direction which Miray went to.

"you are right.." answered Hazel who was still in her train of thoughts.

"How are we going to find out? she will start being defensive later ..."

"I know how...let her rest for now." there was a smile on Hazel's face when she said those words.
