Way To The Heavens 48 Barbeque

"I think I can already smell the meat." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"I know. Me too. It smells amazing. Let's hurry up before everything will be gone." Long Yue said as he quickened his pace.

The two arrived at the barbeque really quick. When he arrived w.a.n.g Wei could see the fire roasting the meat just right and he could feel that his mouth was watering. It has been so long since he had meat that was roasted by a barbeque. He couldn't wait to sink his teeth in the meat.

When he arrived everyone became quiet and a lot of whispers started to go around.

"Isn't he the cla.s.s president?"

"Yeah. I heard he is extremely powerful. He even beat up a second-year student."

"Hey, w.a.n.g Wei." Could be heard very loudly.

"Lee Zheng." w.a.n.g Wei said with a big smile on his face.

When the three stood next to each other the looked like three great leaders. Which in fact they actually are because they are the cla.s.s representatives.

w.a.n.g Wei handed over the air strike arts to Lee Zheng.

"What is this?" Lee Zheng asked.

"They are some martial arts that go well with your soul form." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"I can't accept this. I can get my own if I needed to. Besides I already got the sword technique." Lee Zheng said.

"I know, but I want all three of us to become powerful that is why I also picked up one for Long Yue and two for myself. And these martial arts can help your sword technique get even stronger. Just practice them. Don't think too much of it." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"Okay, since it is you. I will accept these martial arts." Lee Zheng said.

"Cla.s.s president!" could be heard.

Everyone turned their head to see who it was.

"I want to apologize for my behavior previously. I hope you can forget it and we can become comrades." It was Chen Li.

"Of course. I actually need to thank you and your cousin. If it wasn't for the two of you I wouldn't have been able to push myself to this extent and I never would've gotten this strong." w.a.n.g Wei replied.

"Thank you. If you ever need help ask me or anyone in my family we will be able to help you." Chen Li said.

"I will hold you to that promise." w.a.n.g Wei said.

Long Yue took w.a.n.g Wei aside.

"You know that he doesn't really mean what he says right? He only acts like this because he knows that he could never win against you." Long Yue said.

"I know, but it is still a rare opportunity to decline such an offer. We will visit the holy sun family the next time we get a chance. I want to see if we can get anything good from that place." w.a.n.g Wei said.

In his mind, w.a.n.g Wei was only thinking of all the riches and cultivation resources the holy sun family would possess. 'If I get my hands on some good cultivation resources I will be able to enter the dragon caverns sooner than I thought.'

The cla.s.s proceeded to have fun and enjoy the meat which was beautifully roasted. w.a.n.g Wei even showed off his new fire manipulation arts. He used it to prepare the best meat of the entire night. When the barbeque came to an end everyone was leaving to their dorm rooms. Except for the strongest kids in the cla.s.s. They were all talking to each other.

"By the way. Are we going to partic.i.p.ate in the jade city battle arena?" Chen Li said.

"What? You want to partic.i.p.ate?" Long Yue said.

"Yeah, it is really helpful for our combat experience. Besides that, we also get prize money and with it, we could buy cultivation resources or martial art techniques." Chen Li said.

"When you put it like that it sounds really attractive." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"Right?! I am going to partic.i.p.ate for sure. How about you guys?" Chen Li said.

The other kids said that they wouldn't partic.i.p.ate. Eventually, it was time for w.a.n.g Wei, Long Yue and Lee Zheng to answer.

"It is a really quick and smart way to increase your combat experience and you can earn money while doing it." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"I know that all that sounds nice but for combat experience, we can spar with each other and for money, we can rely on our families." Lee Zheng said.

"I know but we can't rely on our families forever and sparring with each other will become standard and we won't be able to handle situations with soul experts who have rare soul forms." w.a.n.g Wei said.

"He does have a point you know." Long Yue said.

"So are you in?" w.a.n.g Wei asked the two.

"Yeah, I'm in." Lee Zheng said.

"Count me in as well." Long Yue said.

"That is great. Let's all go together and register tomorrow." Chen Li said.

"Sure, but I will only have a short amount of time available because I will be busy cultivating." w.a.n.g Wei said.

That night when he got back to the home of his teacher he told Shen Teng all about the plans he made.

"That is great. To go and increase your combat experience. However, you must wear a mask to conceal your ident.i.ties." Shen Teng said.

"Why?" w.a.n.g Wei asked.

"Well nothing is for sure but what if there are evil soul experts in the audience and they will kidnap you. If you wear masks that problem can be avoided because they won't know who you are."

"I see." w.a.n.g Wei said. "Okay, I will make sure all of us wear masks."
