"Good afternoon, First Young Master Xu," the voice of the receptionist reached Liu Lanzhi's ears.

Liu Lanzhi's body straightened up. Xu Wei was here? Before she can turn around, a wind blew past her. In her eyes, Xu Wei strode towards the exit.

"Xu Wei!" Liu Lanzhi called him, completely forgetting that not a lot of people call the First Young Master Xu in his given name.

Xu Wei halted his steps. Lines appeared on his forehead. Who was daring enough to call him that way? He turned around slowly.

He raised an eyebrow. It was a woman. Based on her looks, she could be working at one of the top companies in City S.

The woman wore confidence and power like a second skin. But the aura of a Young Miss cannot be seen in her demeanor.

"Who are you?"

The woman's face brightened up. A smile appeared on her lips. "I'm Liu Lanzhi."

"I'm not asking for your name," Xu Wei pressed his lips. d.a.m.n this Murphy's Law, he thought. He needed to be at Xu Ming and Li Nuxie's date.

"First Young Master Xu is asking about your affiliation, CEO Liu," the receptionist cannot help but b.u.t.t in the conversation. She lowered her head as soon as she finished speaking, afraid to be scolded.

Liu Lanzhi wanted nothing than to put a handkerchief at the woman's mouth. However, she just plastered a smile.

"I'm the new CEO of the Li Textile," she said.

Xu Wei wrinkled his eyebrows. So, this was the person who took the CEO position from his woman? A gleam flashed in his eyes but vanished after.

Liu Lanzhi mistakenly thought that it was a sign of interest on Xu Wei's part. She pulled something from the pocket of her dress. It was a small box. She handed it to Xu Wei.

"I just got back from US. This is a token of appreciation on my part, Mr. Xu. I hope you can accept it," Liu Lanzhi stared at Xu Wei's eyes.

Xu Wei curled his lips. Such audacity. "I don't accept gifts from random people." Something clicked on Xu Wei's mind. "I know you," he sized her up. Liu Lanzhi's body was the dream of every man. Long pair of legs and narrow waistline. His eyes lingered on her upper body. Nice b.o.o.bs, he thought. But he still preferred Li Nuxie's 32-inch b.o.o.bs.

As usual, Liu Lanzhi was screaming inwardly out of happiness. Xu Wei was like other guys. She can get him using her body. She straightened her back which emphasized more her chest area.

Of course, that's only a wishful thinking.

"You were the architect of Octagon Hotel, right?"

The smile on Liu Lanzhi's lips went wider. He remembered her! "Yes, I am the architect."

"Then I will just remind you. What we have between us was just business. I hope you don't get the wrong idea," Xu Wei turned around, taking steps towards the exit.

He's already late!

Liu Lanzhi clenched her fists. She was already there. No turning back now.

"Then, may I suggest that we level up from the 'just business' relationship?"

The receptionist didn't know whether she should listen or pretend she was deaf. The CEO of Li Textile was confessing to the First Young Master Xu.

Xu Wei didn't turn around. "You're bold. That kind of att.i.tude will be beneficial to the Li Textile. However, I'm already off the market so you can forget about it," without waiting for Liu Lanzhi's response, Xu Wei sprinted away from her, eager to 'monitor' the date between his brother and his woman.
