Death's Scythe Chapter 38: [ Rest ]

It was just a moment , but Leo felt someone else's presence right behind him . A Mana signature too powerful to overlook , and the quant.i.ty , overflowing . He wasn't able to turn around . No matter how she did it , Luna had brought in someone who was extremely strong .

Leo had read the words ' Supreme tier heroes , after one point , can end the very world on a whim .' And , if the Supreme tier heroes he had seen until now can be cla.s.sified as [ S - Grade ] , as in that game , this existence behind him was certainly cla.s.sified as [ XSSS - Grade ] . Granted that between S and XSSS are SS , SSS , XS and XSS . According to the power grading of this world , the increase is in attribute totals is in a certain pattern after low tier .

Leo's mind ran on adrenaline and he thoughts of any method to escape , but even after the Mana signature vanished , he was too stunned to move .

He slowly turned around as he swallowed his saliva , and looked directly at the scythe , still fixed in the ground .

" What was that ?" He shouted " What was it ?"

He wanted answers and only this scythe had them . He was about to shout once more , when the scythe turned into a cat and walked over to him .

Leo still couldn't move his legs , as they were shaking and he would've fallen to the ground , if not for his strong body . ' I am weak . Extremely weak . I could calculate all that , but all I saw when I wanted to escape was death .' He thought as he looked at the cat walking towards him .

" Answer me ! Who was that ? " He shouted once more , as his legs finally gave way and he knelt on the ground .

' It was me , believe it or not .' He heard Luna's voice in his head and was about to retort , but decided against it . He waited for her to talk further .

The cat stopped in front of him and looked at him , before it did what seemed to be shaking it's head . ' My master is too weak for even seeing my real form . My master needs to speed up . ' The cat directly jumped on his shoulder . ' Think about all that I said , master . The faster , the better .'

Leo was still speechless after hearing the very fist sentence . The keywords - ' Weak ' and ' Real form ' , rang in his head over and over again . He was dissatisfied after being called weak , but if that really was her true form that scared him so much , he was indeed too weak . He acknowledged this point and knew what this meant .

' I didn't subdue her , she isn't like that newborn dragon , who'll get scared by anything due to inexperience .' He laughed at himself as he touched the cat's head and slowly rubbed it ' She wanted to be used by me , because she was commanded by that G.o.d .'

His laughter echoed in the train , which had become empty after Luna released her ' real form '. He walked out of the red colored film that divided the ' train ' from the real train and reached back in the real train , after which he directly sat against a wall as he thought back to the few moments he experienced . ' She doesn't want to speak anymore , it seems .' He thought as he moved her on his palm , and slowly move his free hand through her shiny black fur . ' I'm even weaker than my cat .' He laughed as he put his head against the wall behind him .

After at least an hour of self derision , he finally saw Leah come back to the real train . She looked relaxed like always and smiled as soon as she saw him . She directly sat beside Leo and took the cat away from his hands and leaned against his shoulder and played with little kitten like a little doll .

Leo was honestly a little scared of letting Luna near anybody else after witnessing her Mana signature . He was scared if Leah made her uncomfortable , she would kill her , simple because she was strong and Leo would be able to do nothing .

' Am I that a merciless to you ?' He heard a voice in his head as he saw the little kitten look towards him ' She is my master's sister as long as my master believes she is . This much is nothing to me .'

Leo sighed after which he smiled awkwardly . He felt weak all over his body , it was too hard to keep himself up any longer . He thought of laying on the ground again but realized his sister was leaning against him . ' I guess she doesn't mind my little 'outburst' .'

He smiled as he just sat against the wall and slowly fell asleep , but he kept hearing the echoes of Luna's words in his head . ' Is it me ? Or is it you , Grimm ? ' Was his last thought before he fell asleep .

Hey , guys . BD here . Sorta short chapter , I do realize that , even if all of my chapters are just 1k words , this is comparatively shorter. Just 800 . So , anyways , I wanted everyone to know a few things .

First , I am fifteen , indian , otaku , nerd , whatever you wanna call me I am - An ignorant little b.i.t.c.h who feels it is awkward to even talk to my parents , so I write . Whether it be this whole meme I write in my free time , or messages I write to my friends , I WRITE .

Second , I hate expectations . I barely have any expectations . This thing has reached 50k reads on the site I write on , which I expected to happen by like 100 or something chapters . Conversely , I would love it if you read the first thing and reduce your expectations of this , because that is what I like . Making the expectations be for me to get 30% when I actually get 70% ( real story . got on my board exams recently )

Third , I like to talk , but not physically . Moving my mouth is a drag . I am too awkward to talk , so I , being the nerd I am , flip through all the d.a.m.n chapters every week , to read what you guys have got to say , so I can improve .

Fourth , please don't just say there are grammatical errors . I said it already , CORRECT ME .

Fifth , I know you guys might feel this is going nowhere , but well , I don't know where to take it . I have a basic outline for it , but I don't know how I gotta color it in , so it'll take some time and there may be a lot of weird s.h.i.t in this . For example , the weapon was planned to have a consciousness , but well I made it a cat cuz I love cats .

Sixth , if you paid attention , I have an extremely large amount of free time and I try to shift between reading other s.h.i.t , watching Netflix and reading my comments . Well , considering the fact that other s.h.i.t I read is already at 1k+ chapters it takes a lot of time , so well , unusual upload schedule it is .
