It was a simple day . Or was supposed to be , but with the threat of his brother hunting them down , Leo had been unable to sleep the whole night .
He sat at the window sill on the outer side of the hotel . The colors of his clothes could be considered vibrant , but with more than enough drunkards in the city , it was not an unusual sight to see someone like him .
He kept lookout as he , every once in a while , looked back at his sister peacefully sleep . He wondered why he was able to stay awake for as long as he was . Dragons were usually said to be creature that slept all the time , but for some reason , he had no need for sleep .
What he called sleeping nowadays was instead just closing his eyes and resting . It hadn't been too long , but ever since coming to this world his sleeping habits had slowly changed . At first , he could still sleep , but now , it became increasingly harder to do so .
There was nothing to keep lookout from , except a Mana signature he had been seeing since a few days . That Mana signature was a bit far away , on the roof of a building , a few buildings away .
Leo kept staring at that signature . He knew the man was weak when he was in stealth . He could detect that he released the Mana of both a high tier and an intermediate tier hero . He was playing with fire . As long as Leo wanted , he could directly kill him , but every time he wanted to decline the orders , he was blackmailed by the fact he would be demoted for disobeying orders .
Leo could sense the changes in his emotions . Every once in a while he could even hear him sigh .
In the darkness , there were shadows everywhere . As long as any light fell on an object , there would be a shadow .
Leo slowly sunk into his own shadow and moved with it . This was an incredibly simple thing . Like walking , but in this state , he was much faster , and no one could possibly hit a shadow , except with dark magic .
The man was surprised , but laughed and then came out of stealth . He knew Leo wanted to talk .
" Hey ." Said Leo from the other corner of the roof as he looked down at the streets. " What are you guys planning ?"
The man sighed and said in the microphone " The target wants to talk ."
Leo unknowingly leaked a bit of Mana as he continued looking at the streets .
The man quickly corrected himself " Gri .." He was about to say Grimm when the Mana density increased a bit more . This time , he could see the darkness of his Mana as it became harder to breathe . " Leo wants to talk ."
The Mana , as if it never existed , vanished . The man's thoughts were in turmoil ' It wasn't aura , just the Mana . 4 tiers below me and his Mana still has such a stifling pressure .'
Aura , was another form of Mana . When the heroes who did not use magic , had a high enough Mana , they could use it as a defensive wall between themselves and the enemies . Those that had higher control , could even directly control the aura to attack .
Aura needed to be restored slowly , because it was just mana , in a different form .
A few minutes pa.s.sed in silence , when Leo looked at the sky . He could feel a pressure from high in the sky and through his eyes , he spotted a big ball of yellow Mana . ' Earth elemental Mana .' He thought as the ball slowly descended .
" You can fly ." He said " I thought only those with wind elemental gifts could do it ."
The man in the middle of the Mana seemed completely indifferent " You have a Mana of dark element , your gift is fire element , yet you can fly . What's wrong with me flying ?"
Leo looked at him for a while before sighing " Roc ?"
Roc was a bird in Easter fantasy . It can easily be cla.s.sified as s.p.a.ce/wind/earth elements .
" Dragon ?" The man questioned back .
They both looked at each other before Leo sighed and nodded , to which the man nodded back .
" What do you need . I fed you information about me , yet you won't stop following me . I don't know about my sister , but I am uncomfortable ." He said as he looked into his eyes .
The man continued staring as he said " It is our duty to protect the nation . We have news your brother wants to hunt you down and we just want to make sure no more public , or government property is ruined ."
" So he is a pain in your a.s.s too , huh?" Leo asked but as though he knew the answer , he said " You are supreme tier and probably based in the capital . It seems you can control s.p.a.ce element so if it is no problem , can you teleport us to the capital , where you have enough troops to not worry about me causing trouble?"
The man looked at him , a little surprised " Wouldn't it be better for you to go to the a.s.sociation ?"
Leo laughed as he shook his head " I am more than certain they have no use for me . They will probably end up being the ones who hand us over to the Grimm empire ."
" Aren't you just paranoid ?" The man asked .
" I am . Why do you think I ran away with her ?" He replied with a straight face .
The man looked into his eyes for a long time before he said " Interesting ." He looked towards the hotel and said " Tomorrow morning . Right here . I will 'teleport' you to the capital . "
" Aren't you scared my brother will cause trouble ?" Leo asked .
" He is just a middle-high tier hero . Anyone who can tail you without being noticed can handle him ." He said as he laughed .
Leo looked at him as he pointed at the man " So you mean that uncle can't ?"
The other man seemed to choke as he fell to the ground .
Leo looked at him then said " I can see Mana in the air . As long as even a slight bit of Mana is used , I will know it ."
The man looked defeated as he saw Leo once again sink into the shadows .
