Kou Zhong and Li Shimin walked side by side out of the Yeting Palace’s north gate in the direction of the Xuanwu Gate, accompanied by w.a.n.g Xuanshu, Zhangsun Wuji, Yuchi Jingde, thirty Flying Clouds Guards, and thirty Dark-Armored Elite Troops.

The Xuanwu Gate’s north gate was open, the Imperial Guards were serving on sentry duty as usual, there was not the slightest bit of difference.
