Confined Life – Day 0

I have an imouto who looks after me. My imouto always seems extremely delighted to take care of me. Back when she was small, she was a crybaby who used to always follow her onii-chan. However, now she’s become a well mannered and cute girl, my presence in her life seems unnecessary. The distance between us seems to have increased, I was a little sad.

As soon as I started school, I moved to Tokyo to live by myself. Although I say that, my imouto Saya forcibly came with me as well out of worry.

「Please leave the cooking and washing to me!」

My original intention was to live alone. However she offered to do my housework for me. I initially refused, but after she started crying I gave in. After all, Saya is a girl of age. She shouldn’t have to reject a friend’s invitation or resist going on a shopping trip for sweets or fashionable clothing, just because of housework.

She should try and spend more time on herself.

Saya was humming a tune whilst cooking. I can’t see any sign of fatigue on her face, rather she seems happy.

「Saya」

「Hmm? What is it onii-chan?」

「That is…..I need to say something, is that ok?」

「What’s wrong?」

「I should really handle my own housework」

「Fufu. That’s a funny joke onii-chan. Handling onii-chan’s housework isn’t difficult at all. So isn’t it ok?」

「Umm…..」

I thought with my arms folded. Would someone ordinarily waste their free time looking after their onii-chan? No I don’t think so. However there are some exceptions.

Perhaps Saya is just a little strange in that she cares very much for me. Besides, Saya will be a student preparing for exams next year. She’s aiming to get into the same university as me. In other words, it’s likely we’ll eventually be going to the same university.

I was a worried though. I don’t think I’ve ever been so worried. I know she can achieve a high cla.s.s rank and be above average in terms of her athletic abilities. She can accomplish all the responsibilities she’s been entrusted with.

It might be ok for now, but I can’t wipe the anxiety that I’m becoming too reliant on Saya. If that’s the case, I can only see a future where Saya is always caring for me. It will be a different story after Saya has taken the examination for university. However, the exam is very difficult.

If the effort isn’t put in, the results won’t be good. However, Saya is very clever.
She was always at the top of her grade and is very well co-ordinated. Besides her bright, friendly and gentle personality, her appearance is also very pretty.

When Saya came home with a pile of love letters like a mountain, my legs almost gave way. It should be noted that they all ended up in the trash. Sorry all the men who love Saya, it is regrettable.

Probably for Saya, getting into my university is easy. Saya’s future, belongs to herself. There is no way I can cut in on that. With that resolution in mind, I spoke to her.

「Fuu. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious Saya」

「It was worth making if onii-chan says that! Ah, onii-chan has rice on his cheek」

「Oh? Where?」

「I’ll get it!」

Saying that, Saya picked the rice off my cheek and ate it.

「Thank you Saya」

「Mmm~」

Saya relaxed her cheeks as I stroked her head. Looking at that smile, it somehow made me happy. As I laughed, her smile deepened more. Forgetting my previous resolution, I spoke up.

「…nay Saya, there’s something I want to talk about」

「What is it, onii-chan?」

「Do you want to live separately soon?」

「……….huh?」

「Wouldn’t Saya also be happy with this? You won’t have to look after me anymore」

「Eh…..but if I stay with onii-chan we’ll save money since we’re going to the same  university」

「I can work part-time to do something about that and Saya, you didn’t go to this university because I’m here did you? I’m glad, but you should look after your future」

I was expecting at least a bit of a reaction, but the one I got from Saya was unexpected.

「Why….? Why? Even though it was so fun? It wasn’t supposed to be like this….onii-chan should look at only me…Why?」

Saya held her head and backed away as if falling ill suddenly. Like a broken record she mumbled why? why? shaking her body as if frightened by something. I have never seen such a Saya before, what’s happening?

My head immediately sensed danger from the new Saya. It’s telling me to run away right now. I wonder why I should feel danger towards my imouto, shaking my head I grab Saya’s shoulders.

「Saya? What’s wrong? Are you ill?」

「Onii-chan….」

Saya raised her face in response to my words. Her eyes were dark and muddy like a bottomless marsh, my back trembled slightly.

~Saya’s Perspective~

I have an onii-chan. He is cool and gentle. Such a wonderful onii-chan that I’m proud to be his imouto. He always looked after me, who was wimpy. When I was lonely he was there. When I was sad, we grieved together.

My onii-chan grasped my hand and guided me. He supported my back when it trembled. Onii-chan was such a big person, I loved it.

This time I will support onii-chan. I made up my mind after hearing that onii-chan will live alone.

Spending everyday with onii-chan has caused a tightness to form in my chest. When onii-chan laughs, my chest feels warm. My heart beats faster whenever I’m around onii-chan, it feels like it might break. However, I don’t dislike it.

One day after enjoying the feeling of tightness from being around onii-chan, I went out in the night to go shopping. As I pa.s.sed a narrow street near my house a handkerchief was put over my mouth and I fell asleep. At that time, I met a so called abductor. When I awoke, I was in a dimly lit place.

My arms and legs were bound with rope, tape was put over my mouth, I couldn’t even scream. I was scared, so scared, I started to cry. Suddenly, I heard footsteps getting closer. I trembled, staring at the door in front of me. I imagined what would happen to me now and despaired.

I eventually closed my eyes as the door was strongly opened with a DOKAN. However, the voice I heard next was a calm and gentle voice.

「Are you ok Saya? I came to save you」

I was so surprised I opened my eyes wide. That voice belonged to my onii-chan. My tears leaked out as I was a.s.saulted by a strong sense of security. After that, I heard stories from onii-chan about how he got help from the police who arrived later.

After calling the police and questioning the neighborhood, onii-chan and the police rushed to the area. Before the police could move, onii-chan jumped in like a demon and apprehended the criminal. I laughed when I heard that, but the police officers looked perplexed.

Onii-chan was so cool, saving me who was scared. At the same time, my heart was beating loudly. I knew at that time, I was in love with onii-chan.

After realizing I loved onii-chan, I became worried that another woman would take onii-chan away. How could I allow someone else to have onii-chan!? Why doesn’t onii-chan look at only me!? I am the only one for onii-chan!!

So I thought of an idea. I would pamper onii-chan until he could only think of me….and yet….

「Do you want to live separately soon?」

My head turned white. I followed the plan to the letter. I thought there was no way I could fail. But, I failed….

This was not supposed to happen…

I will not allow onii-chan to be taken away!!

…..That’s it. I’ll make it so that onii-chan can’t be taken away. Only I should care for onii-chan. I’ll cook his meals and wash onii-chans body.

Onii-chan always says he’s in my care, but now it can be an established fact. Why didn’t I notice this earlier? I could get onii-chan so easily.

All of onii-chan belongs to me. I won’t let someone else touch even a single finger. Onii-chans hair, smell and lips are all mine. Onii-chan is mine only.

The next day, after buying sleeping pills off the net and placing them in onii-chans meal, he fell asleep. I then tied his hands and legs to his bed.
