"What now?" I ask as a smile plays on her fairy like face.
"You need flowers," she says as she manifest a crown of spider-lilies wrapped around snowdrops. "Now the red will give you and eerie appearance, like that of a doll come to life."
"Thanks," I say as I stare into the floor length mirror, my silvery hair is masked by glamour that only an immortal will see through. While mongrels will see it as a dark brown that hangs loosely around my shoulders and waist; except for a few strands that Kara pulls up into a lose braid in order to secure the three-layered flower crown she's created.

"Yeah, Nah. Proms aren't my thing," she says as she picks her book up.
"Oh, but there mine," I say as I s.n.a.t.c.h the old volume away from her. "Blake and Nick are coming; they're even playing nice."
"Yes, that we are," Blake says from behind me as Nick appears in front of my window arms crossed, black hair tied back with a silky blue ribbon and tie loosened up.
"Well, aren't we early," I say.
"Your mother insisted on it," Nick says as he comes over to me and kisses me lightly.
"Why?"

"No clue," they both say as Kara opens the door to my room.
"I'll see if they're done," she says and walks out the room before anyone can say anything.
"Blake, tell me what's wrong with her?" I ask.
"Shouldn't you know? I mean you do live with her."
"And yet you're her mate," I say as I lead them out of my room and down the spiral stairs.
