She didn't want to move. She didn't want to be awake, but she didn't want to pa.s.s out either. She also didn't want to cry anymore.
She stared upwards blankly, wondering how much longer she could take being in this situation. How much longer will he desire her body? How much longer does she need to endure?
For a moment she wondered if she should just end it all.
Gun and Hyuk's faces flashed in her mind. Their smiles, their worried looks, all their frowns and sorrows flashed in her head.
No—
Her heart skipped her beat. She berated herself for ever thinking of offing herself. How selfish of her.
Not now. Not when they are still trapped.
"Yeo Ri, remember to clean everything up. You don't want your brothers to find out, do you?" Lee Do Joon smirked. He snorted, "though I wouldn't mind it if they do. I'd like to see what those two brats could ever do to me when they find out." He chuckled in amus.e.m.e.nt, imagining their faces in his mind.
The girl flinched at the sound of his voice. She shifted her body, curling herself up in a foetal position, as if protecting herself.
The man looked over at her, smiling in the same disgusting way as he always did. While other women might have thought it to be charming, she couldn't see anything but the evil within.
Finally, the man left the house.
Yeo Ri stayed in the same position for a little while longer, but time was ticking. Gun or Hyuk could return home at any second. Reluctantly, she peeled herself off the couch and began cleaning up.
She wiped down the place where he had raped her and doused it with disinfectant. Then, she sprayed the air with air freshener, making sure that the disgusting smell did not linger.
After cleaning up the living room, Yeo Ri headed to the bathroom to clean herself up. She sc.r.a.ped out the remnants of the vile liquid from inside her with her bare fingers desperately, fighting off her urge to vomit. She spent a full hour scrubbing herself, praying that she could get rid of the feeling of dirtiness.
Her tears flowed down silently. She had no more strength to cry.
Yeo Ri sat on the floor and leaned against the wall with her legs drawn up. Her nails dug into her arms and drew blood but she didn't care.
"Oppa..." she mouthed silently. Her throat couldn't seem to produce any more sound from all her sobbing. "Oppa, save me..."
Her lips quivered, and more tears fell.
After what seemed like an eternity, Yeo Ri finally emerged from the bathroom. She was deathly pale and her crotch felt raw and uncomfortable.
Yeo Ri scratched her stomach. It felt as if that man's dirty s*men was still rolling around inside her. If only she could cut herself open and clean her insides thoroughly.
Yeo Ri stood inside her room with only a towel covering her. She knelt down, pulling out the knife she had hidden under her beddings.
She stared at it with empty eyes.
For a moment she allowed herself to imagine plunging the knife deep into that man's body, tormenting him with the promise of death. Her body shook with both fear and antic.i.p.ation. She didn't want to become a murderer, but if that was what it took to save herself, then...
"Ha," she chuckled emptily to herself. She could never do it in real life. She didn't have the courage.
Yeo Ri placed the knife back to its hiding spot. But before she could cover it up again, she paused. She picked up the knife again, then made two small, but distinct lines on the floor.
Her eyes glowed with a frightening glint. She resembled a wraith more than an angel, her eyes concealing the madness of a cornered beast.
"Two... this is the second time... I'll remember it."
