Father pats brother's mount and the white horse runs up a few steps. "Han Qi, help me take good care of these two children." Father's voice is deep and low, "Both me and Jin Se will be thankful to you!"

"Yes…" The bearded man turns his horse back and deeply bows, "Do not be worried, General. Even if Han Qi is to die, the life of Young Master and Young Lady will be protected at any cost!"

I turn my head back and call out loudly: "Father! You should leave together as well!"

After that, Jing soldiers betray them and surrounded the soldiers of You Country along with Yong soldiers, attacking on both sides. Han led twenty thousand soldiers to cover the back, protecting the You soldiers to break out. When the war reached dusk hour, Han Bai Qing led his close aids numbered around ten and escaped to Gu Pu Cliff; the chasing soldiers in front of them and no way to run from the back. Han raised his head and howled: The heaven may grow old, the sea may flip over, but homeland can never be returned! After saying so, with his wife in his embrace, he jumped down the cliff. Their body were never found.

In the raid of Qian State, Han Family lost more than half of their soldiers and You Country directly lost their position as the lord of the northern continent."

The eighth day of the eighth month, the eighth day of the eighth month.

It's a birthday.

And at the same time, a death anniversary.

[1] 孟婆 Meng Po is the guardian that stands by the 奈何桥 Nai He Bridge, the bridge that one needs to walk through before being reincarnated. Before pa.s.sing the bridge, one is required to drink the 孟婆汤Meng Po Soup so that they will forget about their past life before heading for their next life.
