Card Disciple Chapter 30

Hong Dao shook his head, "I heard that there's been no significant improvement."

Zuo TingYi coldly said, "With their capacities, the success rate would basically be zero."

"Why did you say so?" w.a.n.g Ze couldn't help but ask. Being together these few days, he had quite understood Zuo TingYi. He knew that Zuo TingYi was extremely strict towards anything related to creating Cards.  Hong Dao was even more familiar with Zuo TingYi; he also looked at him in astonishment.

Zuo TingYi's expression was quite strange; no one knew what he was thinking. He said, "I have studied that set of Movie Cards.  That set isn't as simple as it appears to be."

Hong Dao and w.a.n.g Ze looked at each other. They both turned and simultaneously put their gazes on Zuo TingYi, waiting for any further explanations from him.

"The one who had made this set of Movie Cards is very smart. He has customized a few places in the structure of these Illusory Cards.  Even I don't really understand what his purposes were. Nonetheless, I guess it  is probably  to prevent anyone from copying it," Zuo TingYi hesitated for a while, then continued, "I only said it's probably, as there might be some other possibilities. Anyhow, no matter what, this Card Creator's ability is intimidating," He stopped, then stressed, "Extremely intimidating!"

A name suddenly appeared in his head: Wooden head!

Hong Dao and w.a.n.g Ze were both astonished. This was the first time they ever heard Zuo TingZi appreciated somebody to this extent.

Hong Dao stuttered, "It can't be to that extent. The cards in that set are all level one Illusory Cards, aren't it? How could this show his formidable capacity?"

Zuo TingYi glared at Hong Dao as if he was looking at a silly child, "I don't talk about Card Creating with dumb Card Creators," He then gave w.a.n.g Ze a signal to talk by turning to look at him.

w.a.n.g Ze solemnly said, "I don't know much about Card Creating. However, I have heard people say that a Card Creator's ability couldn't be judged by what level of cards he could create, but by his knowledge in terms of the rules and energy of the cards."

Hong Dao nodded, although he only understood half of it. He abruptly asked, "Is it also similar to a Card Cultivator? You don't look at whether he could use high-level Cards or not, but look at how he used a card and controlled its energy."

"That is precisely what it meant," w.a.n.g Ze calmly nodded, glancing at Hong Dao, "Senior Dao's foundation is excellent. You can easily leap to another level by just adding more flexibility and practicing more frequently."

w.a.n.g Ze and Hong Dao had soon comprehended as well as being familiar with each other.  Nevertheless, Hong Dao had never seen w.a.n.g Ze's ability.  However, he extremely revered the Stars Courtyard's disciples who had attended the direct battle in the wilderness that day.

Hong Dao had soon remembered what w.a.n.g Ze had said, which as if it had enlightened him.
No matter what, Chen Mu would never have expected that many people had a.n.a.lyzed his Cards, moreover, they were all appreciating him.  The customizations on that set of Illusory Cards weren't protection structures, but only a method of using "Token". He only combined the knowledge between the Token and the Illusory Cards. This was also the reason why this set of Movie Cards only consisted of ten Illusory Cards. If not, with the length of this story, the number of Illusory Cards needed would be up to thirty.

Understanding its purpose, Chen Mu had become even more interested in those knowledge related to the Token Card.  He had constantly been applying that knowledge into his creating Cards process.  He realized, a Card's structure could greatly enhance the efficiency of the Animated Illusory Cards, but was insignificant when it came to Still Illusory Cards.  While creating two identical Illusory Cards, the one which had the structure of a Token Card usually required more Perception.

However, the majority of his energy was still put on that mysterious Card.

That is it? It is done? Chen Mu was quite unexpected looking at the illusory scene in front of him.  Without knowing, he had finished reading all the content of the Token Card.

As soon as he read the last sentence, the usually stable illusory scene suddenly transformed. Everything turned into a void. The two Cards represented the Illusory and Token Card had disappeared at once.

Twelve gray-white Cards suddenly appeared in front of him.  Those cards were in a gray color; one could vaguely see the construct lines on their surfaces. However, when trying to look closer, nothing could be seen.

Chen Mu tried to touch one of those Cards.  Last time, he used the same action to activate the Illusory and Token Card.

'Water Environment Illusory Cards requirement level one simulated water environment, can be activated by a level three and below Energy Cards, the specific parameters are…"

Chen Mu widened his eyes.

Water Environment Illusory Card, what kind of Illusory Card was that? However, according to its requirement, he could simulate the environment inside water. He didn't think that such Illusory Card even existed.  Maybe I was just narrow-minded, Chen Mu tried to console himself.

Looking at the detailed parameters above, Chen Mu instantly understood the mysterious Card's intention.  It wanted him to create these twelve Cards!

This must be it! Wanted to confirm it, Chen Mu slightly touched each Card several times.

Each one of them was bizarre like that.  It wasn't only what Chen Mu had never heard of, but also never think of.  Moreover, the requirements were much unimaginable.  For example, the Swordfish Illusory Card had strict and specific requirements about the speed of the swordfish. Not to mention, it's moving orbits also needed to follow complicated rules.  Looking at those formulas made Chen Mu's head numb.

When Chen Mu had touched all twelve Cards, he couldn't help but inhale cold air. Although he didn't quite comprehend the purposes of these Cards, he could be confident that it wouldn't be easy trying to make these Cards. The difficulty of this level was incredibly high.  The majority of them were level two Illusory Cards, but even until now Chen Mu still couldn't figure out any clue.

Among twelve Cards, eleven of them were Illusory Cards; the remaining one was a Token Card.  A true Token Card.

Did he really have to create all twelve of them? Chen Mu felt bitter inside. He was dumbstruck while staring at these twelve gray Cards.

Price! This was the second thought that had emerged in his mind.  How much would these twelve Card cost?

Chen Mu was feeling even more bitter right now. He feared that even if he were to throw in everything he had, it wouldn't be enough still.  He hardly got a chance to be able to experience such a wealthy life for several days, but now he had to spend this much of money. If he said he wasn't hurt, that would have been a lie.

However, he slightly antic.i.p.ated inside.  If… If he could actually create these twelve Cards…

There were bizarre requirements in those Illusory Cards, but the most important thing was among twelve of them, there was one Token Card! These past few days, the deepest impression Chen Mu had was the power of the Token Cards.  He only took the techniques inside the Token Cards and applied it to his Illusory Cards, but the result had already reached such unimaginable extent.  Then what would be of this true Token Card? He didn't dare to think.

It was because of this antic.i.p.ation, or maybe curiosity that had pushed Chen Mu into making the decision.

Risk it all! Chen Mu grinned his teeth, stating his determination.
