POSITIVE REVIEW :

I downloaded this app when I saw the prologue of Crazy Detective in the app ad. It's the best I have read on Webnovel until now. The MC Zhao Yu a gangster transmigrated mysteriously to find that he is now an investigator and we slowly see the transformation; how he is different from the old Zhao Yu and how gradually principles are instilled in him becoming an intriguing mix of what he was and what he should be. With a mysterious system guiding him through this transformation I think Zhao Yu will become one of the most interesting characters among all the other characters I read about.

NEGATIVE REVIEW :

... A disappointment. Yes, it's a system novel. Is it a detective novel? From the few chapters I've read, barely. Maybe rename it from 'crazy detective' to 'crazy cop', because there's no way the MC is a detective! He barely uses his head to solve cases! Yes, I get that he's formerly a gangster but I'd thought from the synopsis that he would use his gangster experience and mesh it with like... a detective's sleuthing skills like deduction etc. And yes, he's not a proper cop (i will nor refer to him as a detective until I feel like he's worthy) because of his past and I understand why he's acting like a corrupt cop. Perhaps it's too early to tell but from the few chapters there are so far, it seems less like a "system" and more like a "roulette" cheat that makes him lucky to solve cases and his previous knowledge is sometimes helpful.

So far it's 22 chapters. Ok, i'll give it a chance and I'll review it once its 50/100 chapters in. I mean, i wasted votes for this so I may as well get something out of it. But overall, right now, it's a big disappointment. I'd recommend finding another PROPER detective novel to translate or read. This one... personally, is a bit disappointing.
