Sitting in the middle of her luggage was the bright color red followed by golden accents. The maid had picked the worst swimwear for her. The red bikini Jaeun had bought her during their friendship when they had decided to go swimming. The purpose of this piece was to impress Jaemin - which it did; both for its red color and lack of cover - but she wasn't fond of it now.
From her tingly senses, for the maid to have chosen this piece out of many, she must've done this on purpose. But for what reason?
Yoona already knew why but she didn't want to think about it. Sneaky maid.
"Minhyun and I are already dressed! We're going to be at the beach okay?" Ji-ho yelled from the hallways.
"Okay! I'll catch up later," she replied.
In her hands, she picked up the piece and shook her head with a sigh. Well, it wasn't abnormal to be wearing such a piece. Everyone else wore it comfortably at the beach. Besides, she should be confident in her body right? Although she wasn't used to showing this much skin, there wasn't much options to choose from. Technically she could buy another swimsuit from the store but she didn't want to bother the two.
She nodded. Okay. She was going to wear it.
Once Yoona's clothes came off and the red piece came on, she looked at herself in the mirror. She spun around and moved her body so she could see all angles of herself. Perhaps, it was because she wore the piece before, but she wasn't as uncomfortable as she expected herself to be. Second time is a charm?
And she sort of looked good. d.a.m.n good.
Maybe this wasn't a bad idea.
--
The bright sun shone against her soft skin as she ran her way to the sand. Heat from the sand tingled against her feat. Since the beach area was private for hotels and villas, rather than the public area available for everyone; the beach was not crowded. There were a few groups of people, some sitting on the sand and others playing in the water.
Her eyes scanned the area, trying to find her two companions. It shouldn't be hard to find a white-haired boy and a handsome man.
Found them.
Surrounded by other women.
Yoona's chest squeezed and her smile faltered as she watched the scene unfold. She knew that Minhyun was handsome enough to gather the eyes of many, particularly women, but seeing it unfold in front of her... Felt odd. Especially since she wasn't in the picture.
But then again, did she have the right to feel this way? After all, they weren't dating or anything... Gah. Their relationship was complicated.
From the looks of it, Minhyun didn't care about the ladies. His mouth did not move throughout the conversation. Instead, it was Ji-ho initiating everything, being in the center of their adoration. In fact, Minhyun looked as if he was suffering from all the attention. Every time someone tried to touch him, he would send him a deathly glare.
Cute.
Though, he didn't need to be so rude. He could be nicer.
"Pretty lady, are you alone?"
Yoona turned around to see a tanned man behind of her. He was on the skinny muscle side; less fit then Minhyun, but his overall physique was the type to attract women. His hair was curly from the water and there was a confident smile on his face.
One word: Player.
She'd encountered many of these types of men. The ones who thrived from seeking women and playing with their hearts for the goal of attention. After all, as the university beauty she was the recipient of many love calls. Never in her life had she felt attracted to these types of men. She couldn't feel genuineness from them.
An awkward chuckle escaped her lips. "Ah. I'm going to my boyfriend. Sorry about that."
Following her gaze, the tanned boy glanced over at Minhyun. His eyes narrowing.
"Oh? That's your boyfriend? He looks quite busy right now..." He began. Then he sent her a wink. "I think you have the time to hang out with me and my friends. He can stick to those girls."
He clearly did not believe her for Minhyun was surrounded by the opposite s.e.x.
A forced smile widened on Yoona's face. "Funny. I'm going to grab him now."
She began to walk away.
Suddenly, the man grabbed her wrist, pulling her closer. "Woah. C'mon. I know we just met but you're too pretty to let go. I don't think I will be able to see someone like you ever again."
"Good." Yoona sent him a glare. "I hope I don't see you either."
She twisted her hand, forcing him to release, before waving both arms back and forth. "Minhyun! I'm over here."
The minute she called his name, Minhyun looked up. His eyes peered around before meeting hers. At first, relief washed over his face and the corners of his lips lifted up. However, once he noticed the man beside of her, darkness washed over his face.
Yoona almost felt pity for the player. If he were to stay then he would suffer Minhyun's wrath. If he knew what was good for him, he would leave.
The man was smarter than he looked. Once he saw the anger raging from Minhyun, he immediately took a step back, before walking away quietly. It was most likely that at the beginning, he didn't believe her rejection because many women use the 'boyfriend' excuse. Now, after seeing what he was competing against, of course he would leave.
n.o.body could compare to the CEO.
As he ran towards her, the scene reminded her of a romance movie. The wind blew against his hair, revealing his full face to its glory. The crevices of his muscles deepened as the heights glistened against the light. He was glowing.
The sight of his firm abs brought redness to her cheeks. G.o.d d.a.m.n. Why did he have to have such a good body on top of everything?
Once he reached her, Minhyun let out a huff. "Did he disappear for good?"
Yoona nodded. Her cheeks continuously rosy. "Yup. He knew he wasn't any compet.i.tion against you."
Minhyun glanced over at her, trying not to stare at the display. His heart beat was still racing from the sight he saw while running.
He placed his forehead against her shoulder, hiding his embarra.s.sed expression. "You look good."
Ah. Now, the color of Yoona's face matched the swimsuit color she was wearing. She pursed her lips. "You too."
