The morning at Caravelle was accompanied by a song of sunbirds. At the military airport, Xiahou Cang was holding his restless heart, calming down his face to negotiate with the Lt. Colonel of Country B. Although he absolutely believed that Wei Yang could accomplish her task, he still couldn't help but worry. After all, how did the eldest son of Xiahou deal with this kind of girl? None of the Xiahou family knew.  Anyway, he was the one in charge on protecting Wei Yang and if she lost even only one strand of her hair, he feared that he would have to face the anger of Wei Yang's brother, Xiahou Xuan.

When Wei Yang arrived at the airport. She saw that there's confrontation between the two sides. She took off her big sungla.s.ses and walked quickly to Xiahou Cang's side.

“Xiahou Cang.” Wei Yang looked at Xiahou Cang who appeared to be unhappy. She patted his arm, turned her head to look at the same man in green military uniform. She glanced at the sign on his shoulder and smiled, “Lieutenant Colonel, our goods have been delivered. I think we can go now."

When Xiahou Cang saw Wei Yang's figure, he felt relieved and completely rea.s.sured.

The colonel's eyes suddenly tightened. He couldn't deny that facing the eastern sunshine, this beautiful smiling face in front of him had the ability to bewitch people. But at that moment, he could not appreciate it at all. He felt like her smile was poisonous, like the snake tightly tied on her neck, making him follow her commands.

Few seconds later, the lieutenant colonel shook his fist and sobered up, saying to himself, “That must be the young lady of Xiahou. That family is really full of talented people. It seems like the goods have indeed been delivered nicely here, that's why they're just leaving now without waiting for that lady to hear my words."

“What happened?” Xiahou Cang asked with slight concern as he and Wei Yang headed to the cargo plane.

“Nothing.” Wei Yang shook her head. She didn't want to say anything and just remained silent for a moment. She raised her eyebrows and smiled, “I have no hair damage, rest a.s.sured that my brother will not get angry.”

Xiahou Cang sighed, secretly screaming, "Can this girl read my mind?"

He took a few quick steps, turned around, and stopped in front of Wei Yang. Stretching out his hand, “On behalf of the headquarters, I formally hire you as the head of sea and land transportation in South Asia.”

“It's my honor.” Wei Yang smiled lightly and reached for Xiahou Cang's hand.

“Cough As for the boss, this kind of thing… It's impossible to hide these things from him… So…” Xiahou Cang was sweating hard. He never thought that he would have a sly day!

Wei Yang smiled and went to the door of the plane. After sitting down, she asked for a gla.s.s of orange juice and said, “I will tell him in person, just send me back to school first." By that time, her mother, Ms. Andrea, must have started looking for baby daughter.

As Wei Yang returned to school, stepping into the castle's gate, Professor Andrea and Angela saw her immediately, so she had no choice but to simplify the story.

After listening, Angela praised her, “Oh, my G.o.d! Transporting weapons! How amazing you are! I knew you were always amazing, Wei Yang!”

Wei Yang rolled her eyes, but the next moment, Professor Andrea pinched her ear, “Ah! Mom!” The ear pulling didn't hurt at all, but it's a bit embarra.s.sing.

Andrea was really angry this time. She let Wei Yang go back to her room first.

Meanwhile, Angela shrugged her shoulders and said in silence, “Seek happiness for yourself! Amen!" Then she rushed back to her room, shaking all over and thought, "Professor Davis is a terrible woman, too!"

“Very proud? Very exciting? Do you think n.o.body's going to worry about you?” Andrea said angrily, “You're not the Wei Yang who has gone through a hundred battles! I know you know that!”

“Mom! I know, I know!” Wei Yang looked at her, whose eyes became red and feeling uncomfortable. She leaned back to her arms and calmed her by saying, “Though I'm having an amnesia, my instinct is still there. I will not be in danger.”

“But you —”

“Trust me, Mom. Because I have you, how can I hurt myself?” Wei Yang interrupted Andrea's words and looked at her eyes intently.

“Sigh My child Yang…” Andrea looked at Wei Yang seriously while holding her stubborn daughter on her arms and said, “I really don't know how I can bear the pain if I lose you again. I'm going to die! G.o.d knows how I survived when I heard that bad news on what happened to you before!"

“Mom, I don't remember what the past ten years have been like. But I just know that I like fighting and want some kind of exciting and crazy life. I can't imagine just sitting comfortably in the courtyard and chatting with all the ladies, enjoying flowers and tea. Such life would be a disaster to me!” Wei Yang told her mom this truth. She didn't remember her past life, but she can be sure that she was used to fighting. What she didn't say was that she was even used to wander on the verge of death time and time again. The thrill was engraved in her soul and could never be erased.

Andrea's body suddenly stiffened, and then she held her poor daughter tighter. What a bad environment she grew up in to make her think that way! The Wei family was located at Longtan Tiger Cave and she knew that it was very dangerous for a little girl to live there. But right then, she can't imagine that her daughter was facing an even more dangerous situation after she left her. Think about it, how can a five-year-old child live on her own after being abandoned by her own mother at the age of five and losing her after at the age of eight? At the age of eighteen, she had an absolute power and lived like her life was just so easy!

“Well, if my child Yang wants to do anything, even though it would be hard for me, I will let you do it.” After a while, Andrea seemed determined to hold Wei Yang's cheek carefully in her hand and said, “But, also promise me you won't hurt yourself, okay? Please be careful always. I don't know what to do if something bad happens to you. I'm going to die if that happens again."

“Yang Yang promise you, Mom. Please don't cry. You're not beautiful when you cry. My mother is the most beautiful in the world." Wei Yang wiped her mother's tears that's dripping on her chin and she felt that her heart was breaking every time she saw her mom crying.

“Well, your mother will not cry as long as my daughter is safe. I will be the most beautiful mother in the world.” Andrea's tears won't stop falling. She reached out and wipes them. She smiled stiffly. “My tears are so shallow that easily falls all the time.”

“Mom…” Wei Yang snuggled into her mother's arms and whispered, “Don't cry. Don't be afraid. Your daughter is here and I will make sure that I will be okay. Even one of my hair strands won't pull out. Okay?”

“Well, you should fulfill what you promised, because if you can't, your mother will spank you! Anyway, you must go to sleep now. You must be exhausted.” Andrea smiled, then put her chin on top of Wei Yang's head, gently rocked up, humming the tune of 'For Alice', and coaxed her to sleep as a child.

The girl who was busy all night must really be tired that her brain fainted quickly putting her asleep.

“Mom won't let him ruin your life anymore. Mom will protect you. I promise.” Andrea muttered vaguely, bowing her head and kissing the child whom she embraced like sleeping G.o.d. She can't get rid of Wei Lan's scourge, but she will not let the news about her daughter reach Wei Lan.
