Chapter 5.2 – This sister-in-law looks a bit stupid

The two people walked side by side until they came across a fork in their path. Gu Lang who was waiting for them walked over and Yan Sui also approached him.

"I'll go back, you take Meng Ting inside."

Meng Ting wanted to marry him so badly, so he didn't want an accident to ruin the arrangement. They have met each other in private and they also get along fairly well. If He Wan came to know of this, she would certainly not let them be. Since Gu Lang was a young master of the Gu household, it wouldn't be anything to strange to escort Meng Ting.

Yan Sui had subconsciously been so worried that Meng Ting might be bullied.

"He fell asleep in the greenhouse. I happened to see him so I brought him back with me."

Sweeping a glance at Meng Ting whose head was still bowing, Gu Lang spoke, "Don't blame him. You guys also left him on his own. Besides, he's at that age where he gets tired easily."

Gu Lang had spoken in defense; naturally Feng Ze Jiao couldn't express the dissatisfaction that was bubbling in her heart. She had looked for him for two hours… how could she want to just let go?

"Of course, thank you for bringing him back Gu biaoge." (Older male cousin on female side)

Gu Lang is indeed Meng Qi' cousin, in fact, the same could also be said for Meng Ting.

"This is your uncle and this is your eldest brother."

Meng Ting lightly raised his head and looked to the people, obediently calling, "Uncle, brother."

Meng Yi Hang was forty five years in age. It wouldn't be wrong to say that the man had maintained his appearance quiet well. His two eyes were like reflection of those of Meng laoyezi's. Looking into them always somehow makes one feel gloomy, something most people can't stand.

Feng Ze Jiao understood Meng Ting's temper, she did not expect any flowery words to flow out of his mouth. She turned to Meng Qi, her expression flashing with kindness, "He's new so there's a lot that he doesn't understand. You have to look after him, alright?"

"Lady Feng, rest a.s.sured, I am well aware." Meng Qi coaxed Feng Ze Jiao in few words. Happy with her grandson's response, Feng Ze Jiao begins to forget the 'grievance' that she had suffered by the hands of Meng Ting.

Meng Qi had understood her meaning; he must lead Meng Ting to their side. Shifting his interest to Meng Ting, he found that the boy was absorbed in his own world, his head lowered. If there weren't so many people watching them in the hall, he would have lifted his face to take a good look.
