"How's she going to be?"

"Your sister's going to be alright."

Dan slumped down in relief and a smile lit up his face. Tsunade patted his shoulder before she rushed off to help more people in the hospital. Medic nin were rushing throughout the makeshift hospital constantly helping those who were in need of help making the atmosphere constantly busy and rushed.

He smiled further thinking about Tsunade's serious face when she was helping others.

"If you're so interested in her, you should date her."

Dan jumped slightly as Jiraiya and Orochimaru appeared into view. The duo were looking fine and trailing them were the trio of Duy, Teuchi, and Fugaku who all looked more somber than the duo. The trio nodded at Dan before they went out to do more hunting.

As Orochimaru and Jiraiya joined Dan on a bench just outside the room Dan's sister was recovering in, the duo began to persuade Dan to try asking out Tsunade.

"Um, Jiraiya, are you alright with this?"

"It's between you and Tsunade, not you and me Dan. We broke up, it's over. I personally think that she kind of likes you, but if you like her, you're going to have to try hard. Good luck."

Jiraiya gave Dan a thumbs up as he and Orochimaru also left the makeshift hospital. Dan still remained on the bench as he pondered on the words of advice given by Jiraiya. He was interrupted from his pondering, when a messenger handed him a message. On it was the surprisingly neat writing of Jiraiya.

'Hey Dan, I heard your sister was injured. If you're worried about her safety, then send her to watch the border between k.u.mo and Konoha. It might not be possible, but if you can, that's probably the safest place. It's being guarded by my kouhai, Jiro Uchiha who is better known as Dragon in the k.u.mo Bingo books. Don't let him know that I was the one who recommended this. I don't know if he will go after me, but make sure you don't let him know. Please.'

After he finished reading the letter, Dan was smiling again both in thanks towards Jiraiya for generosity and for the knowledge that there was somewhere safe to send his sister. He decided to wait for his sister to wake up before he would deliver the news to her that she was the only survivor of her squad.

The others had died of blood loss or were already dead. She had managed to live by a lucky chance. Dan had no doubts that his sister would probably be mentally scarred and traumatized by the news. As he waited for her to wake up, Dan reflected over his beliefs and what he wanted. Seeing the total devastation caused by war to those he loved made him want to stop wars from happening.

Of course, Dan realized becoming Hokage would definitely be the way for it to happen. As he thought about it more and more, the idea of becoming Hokage to usher in peace became more and more appealing to Dan. His thoughts were interrupted by a scream.

Fugaku slid between two Ame shin.o.bi with his Mangekyo Sharingan blazing red. Two spurts of blood were released as the two corpses fell to the floor with a thud. The whole plain was filled with corpses and not many traces of Ninjutsu. Only the fastest people would attempt to use Ninjutsu in a giant chaotic battlefield like this.

He then threw a shuriken which a shin.o.bi of a different village quickly blocked, but several other shurikens courtesy of Duy and Teuchi followed. Blood spilled as multiple cuts appeared over the ninja who tried to run, but opportunists immediately struck after. Several kunai were stuck in the shin.o.bi as the opportunists moved on to find new targets.

One such shin.o.bi triggered an explosive trap that blew him to pieces. The chaotic battlefield looked like it was going to get only worse. The trio of Duy, Teuchi, and Fugaku exchanged glances as the three of them immediately activated the eight gates technique and broke through the Gate of Healing. The temporary reinvigoration was key to letting the three escape quickly while still being cautious.

Far from the battlefield, Fugaku removed the dark mask he was wearing over his eyes. He put it away and put on a completely different outfit as did Teuchi and Duy.

"My Mangekyo Sharingan weren't visible while I had the mask on right?"

"Yeah, I didn't see anything from the darkened lenses."

"Same here."

As the trio jumped from branch to branch heading towards the temporary base to recover, Teuchi proposed an idea.

"Guys, how about we take some time out to learn some basic Medical ninjutsu or some basic first aid? I know that normally we're supposed to head out and fight and then go back, but we can end up getting injured or chased like last time. I think that we should all learn some information about medical ninjutsu."

At the same time, a pa.s.sionate Dan, irate Tsunade and many other medical nin were all signing a scroll. It was a scroll that would advocate for teams to have a medic nin on the team or the closest possible subst.i.tute present as a medic. The medic nin on staff were all being run into the ground and always busy. Having people on teams qualified to treat injuries would be very helpful.

Dan's sister was also present and hugging Dan's side while covered in a blanket with puffy areas around her eyes and a red nose. She was still covered in bandages that needed to be changed soon. Soon enough, Tsunade took her off to change her bandages, but she didn't budge without Dan coming along.

Tsunade took this opportunity to teach Dan a little bit about bandaging wounds. While finishing up, she also gave Dan advice about his little sister.

"I have a kouhai up in the boundary between Konoha and k.u.mo."

Dan interrupted her.

"Is if about Jiro?"

As Tsunade nodded, Dan smiled and thanked her for the advice.

"Jiraiya already told me about Jiro. I think I will be sending Shiori there. Hopefully she can learn from Jiro."

As Tsunade and Dan continued to talk, Shiori eventually fell asleep and lay on Dan's lap sound asleep.
