Alistair didn't hesitate for more than a few seconds backpedaling outwards heading to the lobby. Well, at least we have another possible survivor. Taking a look back at Slipp and the Matron the info for my observe was done and compiled. I had a few seconds to make heads and tails of it all while putting my sub mind to work on the residual info. I really need to learn how to do this ability actively. I am gonna need every bit advantage for this fight since sending Alistair away. What to do about this though...

'So many questions... my adrenaline rush is almost done. d.a.m.n it focus on the a.s.sa.s.sin everything else deal with later.' After getting myself straightened up mentally, I kicked Mia in the leg bad move on my part.

"Your still such a sloppy fighter you know that," said Mia as she flipped my leg back forcing me to fall on the table. Gla.s.s breaking from the drinks going into my back.

"d.a.m.n this wine burns!" ' I forgot to heal myself yup need to rest and think stuff out. Memo to self no auto heals and going from mission to next place or scenario does not get me fully healed. Speaking of mission glad I didn't start one just yet.'

"Chsih. Woom woom." I looked up in the corner of my eye. Mia had gotten an Omni blade ready. She tapped something on her wrist console then it highlighted red.

"d.a.m.n them! They are just useless and will not cost me this mission" Mia said to herself frustrated. She looked over to Slipp "you and me we are gonna have words Turian don't go anywhere."

A biotic field started to fluctuate around her. 'It wouldn't have been too alarming, just from feeling it but it was red and black and those colors are usually the ones that end badly. What the h.e.l.l guess this is gonna be fun.'

'Oh, what the h.e.l.l!' I stood up throwing some gla.s.s at my a.s.sailant. A few scratches on her face and a cut on the mouthpieces cloth. I moved back a few feet to get my bearings. I looked over to Slipp. She stood in front the matron guarded and ready with a heavy pistol drawn. Her eyes darted around from corner to corner. 'd.a.m.n she knows her stuff, her dad must have taught her well.'

"You shouldn't drop you guard failure!" Mia yells as she biotic charges over swinging her Omni blade at me. Her strength from the charge was downright inhuman for her frame, that speed was too quick.

'Lv4 13 /110 Biotic Shielding activate' "yeah I wasn't. I was just baiting you to attack so I could do this" I paused as I observed my biotics shield clash with her blade. "I may be a failure but at least I am not a looney toon like you" I shifted my shield arm that was against the blade guiding her to move to the side following that angle.

My guess was right there was no way I was gonna beat her in raw strength. Gonna have to use some cunning on this one if I was gonna complete the quest let alone survive.

"Boom, Crackle" her blade and my shield pusled when they came apart from the clash on her descent. I couldn't' miss this chance I came down with a fist strike of my own to hit her in the back to try to stun her a little at least.

Her hand caught the ground and she twirled, on the one hand, she closed her legs togethor into a wide kick. The blow knocking right into my arm. I took a few steps back from that one. "Holy s.h.i.t that was hot and freaking cool as h.e.l.l," couldn't help but say. I Immediately rushed in to put on pressure.

I started to focus my shield into a smaller zone mainly my left side to guard with. Focusing on my right side I tried to focus more with my misty fist.

It worked my misty fist on my left arm condensed to just my fingertips and the shield focus more on my left side but took on a whitish blue glow to it as well as becoming less sporadic. While my right arm became thicker with small traces of pink and purple mixed in the water.

'That's very unsettling system yah know that. We are gonna have a talk after this the very moment I am done here.' Speaking of unsettling, I would have to unsettle her to get her to drop her to guard. It works in the movies all the time it should work here as well. Plus with her condition, it should be easy with her being unhinged, maybe if I cure her that will help. Well, curing will be the last ditch effort.

"It must suck being a puppet, well no... that's not right... puppets are used for shows and bring joy to others. I got it," as I sent a kick to Mia's side that she move away from with little effort. "Your being used as a mobile doll showing off what pretty little things we can make. Don't worry as long as you keep them drugged up, they will think they are useful. Look at that craftsmanship and detail."

"Shred," Mia yelled as she sent biotics flying my way. They missed me and went flying into the light fixture. "I don't need a lecture from a failure like you!" Her hand's armor spread open like it was trying to cool down. "Tssh tssh" hot air came from the sides. I was able to glimpse a few drops of blood drip down.

"I mean don't get me wrong from what I could see you are crafted well, very well but not well enough. There are obvious flaws in the design especially upstairs. Such a bad clone, when are you set for termination?" I saw her eyes dilate at that statement and her biotics flared up.

'In for a penny in for a pound.' "I mean hey you said I'm a failure and I am still not dead, I was able to get from the rogue scientist who is trying to take of Cerebus from the Illusive Man. And he is a higher operative than you. What's that say about you?" I moved in and got a decent hit to her stomach. I Moved my left fist to strike against her jaw, only doing little damage and cracking her mouthpiece. She didn't even buckle as her Omni blade came up from underneath us. I hurriedly placed my right hand unto my left pushing down to mitigate some of the damage.

We struggled to move about the area knocking down lamps and pots.

Shi'ara bellowed out "that was a priceless artifact!"

I yelled back at her, "what's more important the artifact or your life?" She honestly looked like she was thinking of it. "Unbelievable." I took a glance at Slipp. Slipp was running scan's on her so least she caught something was weird.

'I am gonna have to push harder, way harder.' I raised my leg up and tried to kick her's out. Mia immediately matched with a kick of her own. Her leg smacked my leg back in place, then wrapping around my leg keeping me in place.

I looked her dead in the eye. "You, on the other hand, your just a wind-up doll with a superiority complex. Isn't that why you are here, to do low-level work. I mean hey what was I thinking with the way you talk and act who would trust you to infiltrate and talk to bring others to there side. You don't have people skills. But you should consider who your parents are well your mom anyway. You should be a lot better I think. But what do I know I am just a failure, your just the perfect little doll." I sneered at her.

"Was that too high of estimation of your value. You are here for the grunt work. Yeah, that's it grunt work no high-level operative work they wouldn't be able to trust you with that... you're just defective..." I trailed off letting that linger as I took in my surroundings. We got closer to the veranda in the struggle.

The strength from her rising of the Omni-blade lessened a little. I took a gamble. I throat punched her sending her backward. Not before she continued her rise and cut me along my torso and chest. Her blade was stopped by the last of my shielding on the left side that gave way.

"Hotdang woman you got in deep there!" Mia grasped at her throat as I moved in and hit her in her temple. Mia wasn't just standing there letting me just get some licks in. Her hand stopped venting air.

It came down in a motion so fast my eyes couldn't keep up then I heard a noise.

"Ching," Her hand broke the Omni-blade off inside me. Her hand came back up grabbing me in the throat and lifting me off the ground. Good news my leg was free but, the bad news I can barely gather strength to move.

Mia moved her other hand to the broken blade piece, "talk now failure or" her hand rested at the tip of the piece as she looked me dead in the eyes.

Before she could finish up with her threat I try one more effort up my sleeve. ' System my blood has the ability to fight against disease yes? or drugging right? The Lin Kuei aspect right?'

System: Oh so you remember I am here do you? The answer is yes it does. If you are thinking on offering as a bargaining chip to help Cerebus I would advise against that.

'Not what I was thinking but hey it should work. If only for a second. Lv2 63/150 Adrenaline Rush activate.' Before Mia could act from me triggering my biotics I spit the blood the pooled into my mouth directly into her face catching her eyes and hopefully, some would seep into her broken mouthpiece. I use the rest of my strength to kick her in the gut sending her onto the veranda. My leg could not support the abrupt drop to the floor in my current conditioned.

"You filthy mongrel I am gonna kill you!" Mia yelled as she tried to get to her feet. She ripped off the remainder of her mouthpiece. She was gasping for air. I noticed my throat punch at least did some lingering damage.

"Crush" Mia called out as large amount of biotic energy rushed towards me. I noticed she collapsed right after it launched. I threw everything into my shield.

"Lv4 23 /110 Biotic Shielding" I called in my haste placing it in front holding my hands out extended. My shield took the blow and dissipated right after in a white milky light.

"Ting, ting" I looked down to see the piece of her Omni-blade fall to the floor. Moving my clothes there was a small white scar that stood out against my skin.

"What the h.e.l.l just happened?" I had a little bit of strength return to my body it still hurt but not as much as before. I stood up and walked over to Mia checking her pulse it was steady. I called out to Slipp "is the Matron ok?" I picked Mia into a princess carry while trying to activate my sub mind to get it started on something I should have been done. Trying to control my sub mind was definitely on the list of what I need to master. " You see any more hostiles?"

"Crkk" the door began to open showing Alistair prying it open with just his hands.

"Holy s.h.i.t he's a monster" I mumbled out. I could hear Riku in the back of him telling him to hurry up.

"Clear in here, The Matron has a weird toxin in her system I am trying to counteract it but having bad results," Slipp says as she places her pistol back down and goes back to working on the Matron.

"I am on my way." I set Mia on the coach after flipping it back over. I reach over to the matron after grabbing something out of my pocket that I had my sub mind purchase.

The moment I stood up I started to search the shop. Without the system help, it was really hard d.a.m.n it. Time to swallow my pride and get this over with. I could feel a part of me d.a.m.n right refuse the idea of admitting I was wrong inside of me.

'System I need cures for what's wrong with the Matron and Mia. Argh and I am sorry..for my att.i.tude..but you really are ticking me off a lot for some reason.'

'Understood. Also, place Relemon into the Cerebus node. I am gonna need a lot more help it seems in the thing's I do.

System: Affirmative placing Relemon into the node. Combining with the network in node... initialization complete. Relemon has digivovled into Viximon.. Viximon has digivolved into Renamon Blk (Human Mode).

'What the h.e.l.l ok this is gonna take time to deal with. Relemon .. I mean Renamon can you hear my thoughts.

'Of course my tamer. What do you need?' Renamon said in a cold tone.

'Holy c.r.a.p' felt chills down my head to my toes from that,' yeah we are definitely gonna have some talks later lots of talking. Yeah, let's give you a name. Your digivoultions from what I remember does a lot with the moon, and I mean a lot so let's go with naming you Lunabella or Luna for short.

I hand Slipp the remedy and tell her to mix it slowly with some water. Ignoring her look of curiosity I reach back over to Mia.

I reach over to her Omni-tool. 'Luna can you go in and disable everything that is dangerous inside and secure it?'

'Of course my tamer it will be done.' Felt a little tingle on my neck to my fingers as a little light traveled to the Omni-Tool.

System: IF your Digimon does the work for tech on a mission you will not get the experience User.

'That's fine its a chance for Luna to get stronger so it's fine by me. Plus my active skills are garbage still so the side of caution would be to have a competent person do it.'

I look up at Alistair. He is just watching the door after coming inside and giving me a once over. A few traces of blood on himself no wounds. I look over to Riku who doesn't have a single drop of blood on herself. She makes eye contact with me, " Boss you look like c.r.a.p what happened in here?" Riku asks me in here happy energetic voice I remember from the games. It is definitely more comfortable for me seeing her act like this than the way I saw her when she first got here. s.h.i.t, she's good, really good. "Hmm" I let out loud wonder if she can train me to be more lethal. Dodging is not something I am good at. But applying pressure that I can do, well could do anyway before this. Things are different now it would be best not to limit myself.

"I should be fine Riku. Glad you and Alistair are ok. Will you bring me some water please." I pulled my attention away from Riku and start to go over Mia with my eyes.

After a few minutes and checking her out she was stable. The Matron was feeling better. She was instructing C-sec about what happened. She kept Mia out of it which I was grateful for. C-sec wanted us to stop by later for some final statements. But other than that we should be in the clear. Had Alistair wrap Mia up in a blanket and we head out of the Matron's office leaving Slipp to her private talk with her.
