Aogan no Madoushi Volume 1 Prologue

PROLOGUE
It was a memory that was not supposed to be there. It was a past that only I knew. The moon peeped from behind the broken ceiling, and the cold snow falls upon my cheek. In contrast, was a girl surrounded in flames burning red. My body can’t move. It was so full of cuts that it felt like the ground would swallow me up.

My heart can’t beat. A deep [Despair] dominates the girl.

The girl, at that time, in that place, remembered the back of the boy who fought till the end. The hand that he extended out, the unreliable expression that he gave off, now that I think of it, was adorable.

Continue to fight alongside me, was what the boy said. It was exactly those words that saved me. The moment when my existence changed from “tool” to “human”.

The girl reached out to the air. The hand that saved her was no longer there. That body temperature that she could no longer sense.

The girl reminisces. The days spent with the boy. Irreplaceable and memorable memories that made her smile unexpectedly just by remembering anything.

That. Was. Why. It. Was. Denied.

I can’t approve of this ending. There’s no reason to admit it. Like this situation can trick me to think it’s reality!

I must save you. For that reason, I can even throw it all away.

Because it’s only me that knows the end of this crazed world; that can save that person.
