Aogan no Madoushi Volume 1 Chapter 1 Part2

This place is the city on the sea “East Float”. It’s a man-made island floating just beside Tokyo.

It’s total area is about 200 square kilometers. Population of 100 000 people. It is internationally recognized as j.a.pan’s sovereign land, but in truth, it’s totally independent and can be called a country on its own.

What made this possible is because this city is a cutting-edge scientific city. In this town resides students around the world who aim to be researchers and also crowded by many research inst.i.tutes. It’s just that the flow of money, people and resources resembles a big country.

In its center, there’s the city’s symbol, [Memento] as it’s called, is installed there. With one of them, it provides energy for the whole city and can also generate an inexhaustible supply of it. Or, in other words, an eternally needed item(永久機関 towa kikan = eternal organization). Miniaturized, it poses many issues such as difficulties in ma.s.s production. If it can be rectified, the energy problem for humans will be solved, is what they say.

Of the 10 districts, in the middle of the administration district lies a large building named [Monolith] is built, many research inst.i.tutes and schools etc. surround it.

Yoshino Yuuto is a normal high schooler living in said city. His head is no good in particular. Neither is he specialized in anything. Just a normal high schooler.

Right now, Isana and him are walking down the road which leads to school.

While walking, Isana lined up beside Yuuto and with no confidence, started mumbling something like something was popping.

When Isana started saying something, someone called from the back of the two.

[Touma. Good morning]

[… Good morning Touma]

Isana replied unhappily.

Hinakata Touma. He is also one of Yuuto’s cla.s.smate. A tall slender body and long hair bundled at the back. and gave up on his thoughts.

The already red Isana blushed even more.
