Code Geass: A Soldiers Retribution 1 Dead Among The Living.

A soldier in ragged clothes began to squirm in a huge pit filled with his dead comrades and enemies alike, his awaking was a reminder of the failure of his final mission alive and the loss of his fellow countrymen. His head began to ache and he could feel his bodies functions slowly return back to how they should be, the only major difference was that his lungs were not working at all, he a.s.sumed he was was still breathing but not the way one normally would. His vision slowly came back and he looked down to his chest to see if he could spot anything wrong and to his surprise he saw his lungs lying on top of his chest as if they had been freshly removed from his corpse. He tried to scream but the soil above him fell into his open mouth and began to choke him, suddenly the soil and his surroundings disappeared as he appeared in a pure white room that stretched as far as the eye could see. In the middle of the room there was a table with two chairs one on either side of them, there was a piece of paper on the table with a quill and ink on the right hand side of it.

The soldier dragged his body over to the closest chair to him and sat down, his legs burning as this was the first time he had moved since his rebirth he looked down at the paper in front of him and to his surprise it was addressed to him and was set out as a contract between him and something called a 'contractor system'. He read the contract out loud to make sure that it made sense to him as his eyes were still adjusting to the bright white world." You have been dragged back form h.e.l.l to settle the debts the universe has with this world, we have selected you for two reasons, one to repent for the crimes you have committed in the name of your empire, the second is that you were one of the best soldiers of your time before you died. You will need the a.s.sistance of the contractor system to carry out our goals, you will need to set up your own dynasty and empire to spread our ideas. You can reject this contract but you will be returned to whatever h.e.l.l hole we dragged you from." The soldier sighed, he had no memories from his past life except those about the troops he was buried with and how he has killed. He shakily picked up the quill and signed a random name onto the contract, he was forced backwards from the table and landed on the floor, the contract flew into the air and disappeared.

He was swiftly booted out of the world of white and reappeared in his grave with his mouth full of soil again. A voice appeared in his head "The contractor system would like to greet the new host, my name is C.S and I will be offering you advice as well as services which help to achieve the goals required of you. My first piece of advice is that you get out of this grave, I also recommend that you find something to eat or drink as soon as possible." An image appeared in his mind, the image was detailed view of everything about him including somethings he didn't think was possible.

The sight shocked Theo but he decided he would get out of the hole he was in first before finding out anymore. As he began to dig his way out something flashed before his eyes.

He mentally sighed as he thought the system was pointing out the obvious, not getting out of here would be the death of him, what intrigued him however was what rewards he may get for climbing out of the grave. He summoned all the strength he could gather before slowly pushing upwards and creating a hole in the soil so he could escape, he left his lungs in his original s.p.a.ce as he figured he no longer needed them. He slowly manged to move enough soil to move upwards towards the exit, he was making progress not matter how slow it was. It took three hours before he was able to finally able to drag his limp body up and out of the grave. When he reached the top of the hole, he fell onto the floor while a notification filled his head.
