I wake up.

[It seems like I slept the whole evening and night. It's a bit colder than yesterday and the morning dew droplets still sitting on the leaves and gra.s.s. I look around and notice nothing seems to be different from how things were yesterday. The leaves are green, the birds are... well the bird Pokémon are chirping, and the Spearow is... well it's still dead it seems. What did I expect? But it shrank it seems.... wait a minute! Did it shrink or did I grow?!]

I look down and inspect myself again it seems that's what I do most of the time aside from searching for water. My paws became bigger my claws did so as well. My hide became even brighter, I have to be some kind of snow Poochyena if this continues... not exactly what I would call inconspicuous. My Tail seems to be less bushy, I wonder if that's just because of the fight yesterday...

[It's not much but I'm sure I grew at least a few centimeters, I'm not as tiny as I was yesterday. And with my claws, as they look now I should be able to use "Scratch-Attack" even though, neither Poochyena nor Meightyena should be able to use that attack.

My nearly Ice-White Hide lets me wonder will I be able to use Ice-Type Attacks later? Ice-Fang should be possible? That would be cool. A Darkness-Ice Type Pokémon would be something I could live with.]

My stomach growls and ends my fantasies about cool Pokémon Types.

[Urgh. I wished this would have happened later.]

I look down at the Spearow.

[I guess our time has come. I never was a vegetarian and I guess Poochyena's aren't either. Burying it would be a waste now, I can't live off only Berries. That should have been clear to me even yesterday. Sleeping really helped.]

I take a step towards the Spearow now directly looking down upon it. I gulp. This is a first for me, eating raw meat I mean.

I lower my head further and just take a bite of its left leg. I chew and my eyes widen.

[Oh my... THIS TASTES JUST LIKE FRIED CHICKEN! I would have expected a chicken taste. But fried chicken?! I can't believe it. If I could laugh I probably would do so right now, but seems I can't do more than a smirk. It's cold fried chicken but still. I had expected worse. This is going to be a walk in the park.

A few Minutes pa.s.sed and I finished my meal. It wasn't as b.l.o.o.d.y as I thought, but the feathers were still annoying. I walk over to the pond to drink. I do this a lot more confidently and less careful then yesterday, now having some trust in my fighting capabilities.

I drink my fill and turn away from the pond.

Now that breakfast is done the day can start. What am I supposed to do now though...
